My husband is a great chef who is legally blind and spent one year in a center for the blind after we got married.  He has some GREAT ideas for restraunts but we have no idea where to get the funding.  We know there has to be money available out there. Have you tried the www.sba.gov/ ? Also ask your city planning commision if they have a grant writer available to talk to you. woman minority have the best chance in getting a grant to start a business with. Good luck God bless.... see full post

Also I knew a man who wrote letters for grants for small businesses, and you said you are a monority and a woman, those two characteristics will get you a grant! Find the planning commision where you live and ask if they have a grant writer. Also find the sba office for where you live and make an appointment and they will get you started.
