My husband is a great chef who is legally blind and spent one year in a center for the blind after we got married. He has some GREAT ideas for restraunts but we have no idea where to get the funding. We know there has to be money available out there. I know he has the ability to make this work. If you have knowledge of where to get assistance please contact us. poeticrhythm70@yahoo.com
Have you tried the www.sba.gov/ ? Also ask your city planning commision if they have a grant writer available to talk to you. woman minority have the best chance in getting a grant to start a business with. Good luck God bless.
Have you tried the small business administration. Also I knew a man who wrote letters for grants for small businesses, and you said you are a monority and a woman, those two characteristics will get you a grant! Find the planning commision where you live and ask if they have a grant writer. Also find the sba office for where you live and make an appointment and they will get you started. You may not need any money or very little even if you have bad credit. Good luck and God bless you.

Hi,
I am a minority female who is looking to get funding to start a small tax preperation company. I have been preparing taxes for 2 seasons, and I take classes every year to keep myself informed and updated on the changes. I am looking to start this business in 2009. If there is anyone who can help with the funding, start up or business plans it would be a big help.
Thanks
HELLO
I AM LOOKING FOR FUNDING TO PURCHASE AND SET UP A BED AND BREAKFAST AND RECETION HALL BUSINESS. MY WIFE AND I BOTH ARE MINORITIES. SHE IS CURRENTLY A SPANISH TEACHER AND I AM AN ENVIRONMENTALIST. HOWEVER ,WE WOULD LIKE TO ENDEAVOR TO SUCESSFULLY OWN AND OPERATE OUR OWN BUSINESS
Amen.
I don't know, could you? If qualifying for a grant were based simply on ignorance and racism, I'm sure you would. Apparently, de-segregation has gone no further than the fountain.
I am a white male... Could I qualify for a goverment grant? I thought we abolished segregation when we "combined" water fountains. Welcome to the new minority population my white male friends....
